The United States Lipizzan Registry was formed in 1980 by a dedicated group of Lipizzan enthusiasts. The Registry is committed to perpetuating the Lipizzan horse in the United States and dedicated to preserving the Lipizzaner traits of intelligence, classic beauty and a harmonious way of moving.		The United States Lipizzan Registry has an elected Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and four (4) Directors. The elected Board members each serve a two-year term. Members are invited to participate by serving on a committee or running for office.

The United States Lipizzan Registry provides an opportunity for its Members to be involved with an organization dedicated to a very rare breed with a fascinating history. Only 3,000 to 4,000 Lipizzans exist in the world today.  More Lipizzans live in the United States than in any other country.
We Americans have a big responsibility.
